This Saturday and Sunday, we have our Worldwake Release Tournaments. $30, noon, with a prize payout based on attendance (traditionally about 1 1/2 boxes of product per day). The release foil is Joraga Warcaller, the super multikicker elf. Hope to see you there! Nothing huge, but if you check on the right-hard side of the site, you’ll see that our hours have slightly changed. In short, we’re opening an hour later on Saturdays and closing an hour earlier on Sundays. If you have any comments, questions or concerns let us know! Special Events galore are upcoming at the MMCG! First, we have the ever excited “Win Your Sh!t Back” Tournament coming up on Saturday, January 23rd. SO much has been abandoned or forgotten that has gone into the kitty of prizes! $10 entry. Challenges include 1) head to head saltine challenge, hot sauce race, and people can improve the final standings by challenging our own Hot Sauce Al to a challenge du jour. Prize lots include M10 pack + Garruk, Ultra Pro binders, random cards, and the ultimate prize – Brad’s Pants! Sunday, January 24th we are hosting our last chance qualifier for our invitational. $30 buy in for Sealer and standard, with a top 4/8 (based on attendance) playing 75 proxy legacy for a seat at the invitational table. Winner take all, second place gets a sob story. Preeeeeeeeee Release! Worldwake Pre releases on Saturday, January 30th, and Sunday, January 31st. Pre release sealed pools will be made of 3 Zendikar and 3 Worldwake packs. Each pre release is limited to the first 32 players through the door, and each of those players gets a promotional foil. No pre registrations, but if you are turned away on Saturday, we will guarantee you a spot on Sunday. Must be here to sign up before tournament starts. We decided to ditch the MMCG Google Group as it was getting overrun with spambots. However, there are still several ways you can give us feedback online! You’ll see a link to our forums on the right side of the site, this is one of the best ways you can offer us feedback, chat about games, ask questions or what have you. Free to join and we won’t bug you with constant MMCG emails. The more we hear from you, the better we get! Alright! Thanks to a swift-ish landlord, our leak problems seem to be dealt with. All regular store hours and events are on as planned. …you can finish that up. We had a water heater explode above us over the weekend, just to usher us into the New Year in style! Because of this we’ve suffered some water damage and we’re in the process of cleaning it all up. As such, WE MAY BE CLOSED FOR A BRIEF PERIOD OF TIME while this gets fixed.
